Easy Work, Easy Profit – Secrets to Start Drop-Shipping From Home
I have had the thought for years that there has to be a way to make easy money without buying into these publicized make-money-quick schemes. Are they not atrocious and annoying? The very sight of get-rich-quick is repulsive. Behold, if you’re in the same boat as me this article is a must read.
Two years ago I discovered a simple idea that doesn’t require much work or critical thinking. It is not expensive and yields at least 25% profit. Here is my secret: book selling!! I have been burdened for years searching for something that will yield a profit with little work. One may ask, “How can you assure me a guaranteed 25% profit” to which I immediately respond saying, “Because I set my own price and will not sell a book that gives me less than 25%.”
Selling books came to mind when I went in to the bookstore at the university I was attending at the time. First, you have to understand one more thing about me. I am a bargain shopper. Rarely do I purchase anything full price and have been successful in saving over $750 a year in the grocery store because of coupons, timing, and in-store clearance sales. As soon as I stepped into the bookstore, there was a display of books on sale right in the middle of the walkway. It could not have been more of a barrier.
I will provide you with inventory ideas, work required, and packaging and storage tips. The second and third topics will be presented first and then I will follow-up with how to intelligently create inventory.
With anything you do a certain amount of work is required. Honestly, the most book-selling requires of you is to type a short sentence, key in a few numbers, and click a couple boxes and wait. The key is to have suppliers work for you–shipping your sales. This way all you have to do is slap a price that you want for your book and advertise it online.
With suppliers doing your packing and shipping, you are not burdened with finding space to store inventory around your living room. Look up from your computer and visualize a thousand books sitting on the floor. Now visualize that being in a warehouse and someone else de-shelving it and mailing it for you.
As I promised, I have circulated back to my first point. Regardless of its location, you have to build up inventory. Please, do your research. Sell the exact books you already have in your home. Chances are you have self-help books and books of some specialization. Shy away from novels and fiction.
When I started selling books, I visited my college bookstore and purchased brand new books for $1.00 each and sold them for between $1.99 and $15.00. YES, that’s a net of 1500%! I purchased books by the lot from Craigslist.com, at yard sales, and garage sales for dirt cheap, threw away the older ones, and resold the better ones.
